How Does PRP Therapy Work?
The process for PRP therapy is straightforward and uses your body's own resources.
- Blood Draw: The procedure begins with a simple blood draw, similar to a routine lab test. One or more vials of your blood are collected.
- Centrifugation: The vials are placed in a centrifuge, a machine that spins at high speed to separate the blood components. This process concentrates the platelets within the plasma.
- Injection: The resulting platelet-rich plasma is then carefully injected by Dr. Strasburger or a member of his team into the specific area requiring treatment, such as an aching joint or a site of injury.
